Here is a short resume-
My professional studio credits include composing record albums, movie scores, radio and television advertising/commercials as well as music for robotic animation, which ended in display at the Toledo Zoo, pizza parlors and furniture companies.
Associate Professor of Music
Taught jazz studies, music theory, music synthesis, recording technology and a music business course, which covers such issues as copyright, intellectual property issues, song writing, recording contracts, music distribution, production, marketing and the organizational/operational structure of record companies. The recording classes are the first four audio courses in a proposed Media Arts program where students can learn to record, publish and survive in the video/music business and web publishing. The digital media program proposal will feature four courses in video postproduction, four existing courses in audio recording, with supplemental courses in communications hypermedia and graphic arts.
Patents and Publications
I was part of a nine member team that developed encoding/decoding software for use in the digital jukebox industry. I helped in the process of negotiating licenses with record labels to eventually establish a music library of digital singles for distribution. Our team holds a patent on an audio compression technology process that compresses audio at a 13:1.
Patent on “MyGigRig” a multi use stand for keyboards, Disk Jockeys and classroom music teachers. This product is currently available at www.mygigrig.com
